Novostead Verification Standard
A transparent checklist for evaluating clinics and services in longevity and preventive medicine.
Educational Only. 100% Independent. Not Medical Advice.
What "Verified by Novostead" means
A "Verified" badge means we completed a defined set of checks and documented what we found. It does not mean:
the clinic guarantees outcomes
the clinic is appropriate for you
the clinic is endorsed medically
the clinic is the "best"
It means: identity and transparency checks were completed and the clinic met our minimum verification requirements as of the verification date.
Verification checks (CV-V1)
Each item is marked as: Pass, Partial, Unclear, or Fail
#1
Identity & contact
- Clinic name, website, and contact information are consistent across sources
- Address and/or telemedicine jurisdiction information is clearly stated
- The entity we list matches the entity providing services
#2
Practitioner credentials disclosure
- Practitioners and their credentials are listed (e.g., MD/DO/NP/PhD where applicable)
- The clinic explains who provides medical decision-making
- If credentials are unclear, we mark this explicitly
Note: We may verify public license records where feasible, but verification scope varies by jurisdiction. We do not provide medical credentialing.
#3
Pricing transparency
- Itemized pricing or clear membership inclusions are available
- Common upsells are disclosed or easily discoverable
- "Call for pricing" with no line items is flagged as high-risk for wasted spend
#4
Data ownership & portability
- Patients can obtain their own raw results (PDF/CSV where applicable)
- The clinic states whether results can be shared with outside clinicians
- "We keep your data in our portal only" is flagged
#5
Outcome tracking
- Clinic states what outcomes they measure (biomarkers, imaging, functional metrics)
- Measurement schedule is clear (baseline / follow-up cadence)
- Claims without measurement are flagged
#6
Consent & risk clarity
- The clinic explains risks, contraindications, and uncertainties
- Informed consent is documented for invasive/experimental procedures
- "No side effects" marketing is flagged
#7
Claims discipline
- Marketing language matches the evidence level
- "Guaranteed results," "reversal," "cure," "FDA-approved for anti-aging" claims are flagged
- We prefer clinics that separate: what is standard of care, what is investigational
#8
Conflict-of-interest disclosure
- The clinic discloses whether they profit from in-house supplements/tests
- If the clinic requires buying only their products, we flag it as a transparency risk
#9
Complaint handling and support
- Clear contact for questions and billing disputes
- Refund/cancellation policies are available when applicable
Common red flags (quick list)
No itemized pricing, only "membership" with vague inclusions
No clarity on who the clinician is
"Proprietary protocol" with no measurable outcomes
Claims that outpace evidence ("age reversal guaranteed")
Data not portable (you can't get raw results)
Upsells dominate the service (expensive add-ons, unclear value)
